We envision New Unity as a faithful, Christ-centered, Spirit-led, intergenerational community in which people are formed as disciples, gifts are awakened, leadership is cultivated, human dignity is honored, communities are strengthened, and the transforming reign of God becomes increasingly visible in Baltimore and beyond.
We seek not merely to build a stronger church, but to become a people through whom God’s world becomes more whole.

A vision of faith, justice, healing, hope, and human flourishing under the reign of God.
HOW WE LIVE OUR CALLING
New Unity’s ministry is shaped by four enduring practices through which we seek God, proclaim Christ, worship faithfully, and form people for discipleship and the Work of the Kingdom
We seek the presence, wisdom, direction, and power of God—learning to listen before we act and to carry the needs of the Church, our neighbors, and the world before God.
We proclaim the liberating and transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ—speaking truth with courage, hope, and faithfulness to Scripture and to the realities of human life.
We worship God with the fullness of our gathered life—through song, testimony, gratitude, lament, prayer, celebration, generosity, and service.
We teach and form disciples through Scripture, study, conversation, reflection, and faithful practice so that what we learn becomes a way of life.
Prayer roots us. Preaching proclaims. Praise responds. Pedagogy forms.
What we confess in worship is what we seek to embody in life. Together, we give voice to who we are becoming and to the work God has entrusted to us.

How shall we live our calling?
PEOPLE:
Through prayer, preaching, praise, and pedagogy, we will worship faithfully, love boldly, serve compassionately, seek justice, strengthen community, and bear witness to Jesus Christ.

PEOPLE:
That the People of God may be edified, the Church unified, God glorified, and lives and communities transformed through Jesus Christ.

HOW WE EMBODY THE MISSION
These commitments describe the habits, values, and practices through which New Unity seeks to make the Gospel visible in our life together and in the world God has called us to serve.
We center our common life in the presence of God through worship, prayer, Scripture, praise, sacred practices, and attentive listening to the Spirit.
We cultivate lifelong growth through teaching, study, fellowship, mentoring, reflection, and practices that form people in the way of Jesus.
We honor the image of God in every person and confront conditions that diminish dignity, exclude neighbors, or deny people the fullness of life.
We accompany people through grief, illness, transition, hardship, and hope—bearing one another’s burdens and extending Christlike care beyond our walls.
We strengthen families, nurture intergenerational belonging, build trustworthy relationships, and seek reconciliation where division has wounded people and communities.
We carry the Gospel beyond the sanctuary through courageous witness, generous service, civic responsibility, and faithful engagement in Baltimore and beyond.

A sacred declaration of identity, formation, witness, and work
Penned during the early unfolding of the winter of 2025, this declaration stands as a theological, prophetic, and communal vision for who we are called to become.
We return to these words not merely to remember them—but to remember ourselves.
And though the vision tarry, we shall yet wait for it, work toward it, and prepare ourselves for its appearing.

We, a people shaped by vision, equipped for Kingdom work, and sustained through faithful preparation, stand in unity.
Diverse in background, yet one in Christ, we gather beneath the call of Heaven and commit ourselves to sacred transformation.
Rooted in a rich spiritual inheritance and anchored in the enduring love of God, we rise with holy resolve: to exalt Jesus Christ, to guard hope from despair, and to contend for justice wherever dignity has been denied.
For years we have labored beneath this conviction:
The anointing is in the preparation.
Thus we refuse shallow faith, hurried vision, and careless work. Sacred assignment demands sacred stewardship.
Heaven has not spoken merely to inform us.
Heaven has spoken to transform us.
We become what Heaven has spoken.
Even within the trial, Heaven summons us toward sacred assignment. Every challenge confronts us with a decision: retreat into fear—or rise in holy courage.
This vision is no ornament.
It is a sacred trust:
a word to embody,
a work to undertake,
a witness to carry.
Though rooted in local soil, our witness reaches beyond every boundary others have drawn.
Our vision is not confined—not by city blocks, not by county lines, not by state borders, not by national boundaries.
It is a cry for revival of spirit, renewal of culture, and the restoration of people long denied hope, dignity, and breath.
We honor the wisdom of our ancestors—not by romanticizing their suffering, but by refusing to squander what their sacrifice secured.
In this nation, every wound matters, every silenced voice deserves restoration, every child bears sacred worth, and every soul is welcomed with love, truth, and grace.
Guided by divine truth and compelled by a vision greater than ourselves, we proclaim: our strength is woven by grace, aligned by purpose, and refined through steadfast obedience to the work set before us.
Hear the clarion call—
O peoples near and far:
New Unity Nation is more than a name.
It is a people being formed,
a witness being borne,
and a work being done.
Nation-building is not for the faint of heart.
It is not sustained by applause.
It is sustained by obedience.
Like the prophet standing watch upon the tower, we choose vigilance over distraction, preparation over performance, and faithfulness over spectacle.
For we believe the vision still speaks. And those entrusted with vision must also accept the burden of stewardship.
Therefore we write carefully.
We build prayerfully.
We labor deliberately.
Carelessness is costly.
Souls hang in the balance.
We reject small visions, for small visions leave suffering untouched.
This is not casual work. This is Kingdom labor.
It requires discipline, sacrifice, discernment, and enduring faithfulness. We dare not wander without purpose. Too much depends upon our obedience.
We are called to equip the people of God for the work of the Kingdom.
Not merely to gather crowds—but to form disciples. Not merely to inspire emotion—but to cultivate maturity. Not merely to speak loudly—but to live faithfully.
We are not performative.
We are prophetic.
We do not merely represent Christ—we seek to reflect His character, His compassion, and His truth.
We enter places despair has claimed and declare they do not belong to despair forever.
We disturb what has settled for death.
We call dry bones toward breath again.
The Holy does not call us merely forward. The Holy calls us deeper—beyond applause, beyond comfort, beyond the safety of remaining unchanged.
To build is more than structure—it is alignment.
We do not build the Kingdom of God. We bear witness to the Kingdom God is bringing near.
We prepare a people to live as citizens of that Kingdom now.
Vision is fulfilled not only by what we build,
but by who we become.
The nation Heaven has declared is first formed within the people Heaven is shaping.
This work requires:
FAITH — to move what seems immovable.
HOPE — to endure when the path grows dim.
LOVE — to bind us together in holy unity.
Faith that never moves has already surrendered to fear.
Even when the valley keeps its silence, our calling rises still.
For our Immanuel is nearer
than the silence suggests.
Whether bent, broken, bruised, or burned—
still something within keeps choosing dawn.
His Word confronts us. His Spirit equips us. His Presence sustains us.
So we prepare.
So we build.
So we labor—
not in fear, but in faith.
For it is not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit.
Let us rise—eyes forward, hands to the plow, hearts attentive to the voice of God.
We cannot retreat into comfort. We cannot delay obedience.
God did not call us merely to survive the age.
God called us to bear witness within it.
Not to accommodate decay—but to confront it with truth, courage, and love.
The task is great—but the One who called us is greater.
We are God’s people, and this vision requires our faithful stewardship.
Therefore we write the vision.
We prepare the people.
We labor for the Kingdom.
Not for earthly applause, but for God’s glory, God’s justice, and God’s reign.
Though the night grow heavy, we shall not abandon the light entrusted to us.
Though the burden press hard, we shall yet prepare, build, and believe.
For the vision is clear, and the Spirit is near.
Heaven has spoken—
therefore we can no longer remain silent.
