“Celebrating Men Who Understood the Times: The Role The Road The Reasons”

“From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.”  I Chronicles 12:32 – (NLT/ New Living Translation)

This scripture speaks of the Mighty Men of Valor who saw the signs that the king at that time, Saul, was no longer favored by God because he reneged on a key requirement of the conditional covenant between God and Israel, “Obedience!”

God commanded Saul to completely destroy the Amalekites and all their possessions.  However, Saul didn’t.  As a result, God withdrew His favor, then God instructed Samuel to anoint David as king.   The Men of Issachar understood early that David was the anointed king of Israel and they rallied to him in support.

Our role as men, leaders, husbands, fathers, etc.…is to be aware and alert of the signs and act accordingly.  The signs are all around every day.  We see the dissolution of families, the lack of  respect and civility. The public safety crisis and the lack of true government for the people, by the people, and more.  

We as men must “Wake up and Rise up” and help become the Change Agents we are called and designed to be!  Now more than ever, the world needs us to do our part, with the help of God.   We must step up and take the lead like never before.  We’ve got to come out of the background to the forefront.  Our visions, plans, efforts, energy and support are needed greatly.

Just as the Mighty Men of Valor of Issachar, we can and must be the ones that make that major contribution to our society.  We are in a spiritual war.  I am reminded that the Bible says we ‘wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places’ (Eph 6:12).

The road ahead must be taken by prepared men.  We must be educated on the issues and challenges that affect Us.  Let’s gather as much knowledge as we can on tackling those challenges.  Proverbs 3:5 states “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths.”  I’m truly convinced we will triumph, especially doing it God’s way.

 The reasons for our role and the road we must travel is the desperate times that we’re in.  In my humble opinion our world is truly in a downward spiral.  Our world as we know it is under attack.  As men, we have got to do all we can to right this sinking ship!  By any means necessary!  With the help of God, it will be done.  Brothers, it’s time for us to Wake Up and Rise Up!

 Our families, our communities, our world is entitled to live in love, peace and harmony and to thrive in a reasonably healthy and safe environment.

The Time is Now! 

Our Role is defined- when God designed us, we were designed to be leaders and have dominion over the earth. We must fulfill our role and take our rightful place we were created for.   

The Road before us– must be taken by prepared men. It is the necessary path to be successful in acquiring the abundant life we desire to have.

The Reasons are understood- we must now be the change agents to help bring proper order back to the world.
