The New Unity Baptist Church exists to transform lives through the Gospel of Jesus Christ by equipping and empowering the people of God for the work of the Kingdom, building a community of faith, and creating a legacy of love,  hope, and righteousness.

We are a Christ-centered, Spirit-led, Afro-centric congregation rooted in Baltimore and reaching to the world. New Unity is a place where faith meets action, worship meets justice, and community is cultivated in the spirit of love. Here, the Word of God is not only preached—it is lived out in service, advocacy, and deep care for one another.

Founded in 1917, our history is rich with perseverance, prayer, and prophetic witness. Across generations, we have stood as a sanctuary for the weary, a training ground for disciples, and a launching place for those called to transform the world. Our worship is vibrant, our fellowship is authentic, and our ministries are designed to equip and empower people to live abundantly in Christ.

Our Vision: The New Unity Nation

The nation we must build is the one Heaven has spoken. It is a holy nation—not bound by borders or divided by walls—but united in faith, hope, and love. We are rising in faith, building with purpose, and declaring the Word, because we believe God’s Kingdom is both a present reality and a future hope.

We are committed to lifting every child, honoring every elder, and embracing every neighbor as family. We seek justice, pursue peace, and live in the Spirit’s power. Our call is not just to gather, but to go—to be a light in every dark place, a voice for the voiceless, and a witness to the liberating truth of Jesus Christ.
